Always On
Always On is the name for background work. A saved setting does not mean a worker is running. There is no installed background service.
The checked path is one public note. CLI 1.2.1 can install runtime 0.2.0 when you run tarx runtime install. That install starts nothing. tarx runtime serve-check is separate. With an explicit task approval, it can start one local Eve 0.83.2 worker that returns the public note. You choose the model endpoint, model id, and worker port. It does not start a model for you.
A browser test used that local Eve worker and a mock model. It sent one check, received the note, and reloaded the same result. The test used a fixture identity.
That acceptance does not prove a signed-in production user, a general background service, or recovery after an OS reboot.
